betty la fe/betty the ugly

A popular tv show around the world is Betty la fea/ Betty the ugly (see link)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betty_la_fea and contuining the same thought in the we are series--we are betty the ugly. Sin has left us looking like betty the ugly both sins we naurally commit because we are born sinners to sins committed againest us: drugs, free sex, crime, violence: domestic/child abuse, poverty etc But when we embrace Christ as our Lord and savior all the ills we've done and has been done to us Christ transforms us by His blood from ugly betty to prince charmings and cinderellas.

2 corinthians 5;17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come

Isaiah 1:18

18 "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

ephesians 2:13-18

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15by abolishing the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. 18For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

Thomas Brooks, "The Unsearchable Riches of Christ")"The Lord our righteousness." Jeremiah 23:6"They are without fault before the throne of God." Rev. 14:5Weak hearts are apt to sit down troubled and discouraged, when they look upon that body of sin which is in them, and those imperfections which attend their best services. They are ready to say, "We shall one day perish by the strength of our lusts, or by the defects of our services!" Oh but, to strengthen them against all discouragements, they should remember this--that they stand before God, clothed with the righteousness of their Savior. "They are without fault before the throne of God." Revelation 14:5So in Cant. 4:7, "All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you." There is no flaw in God's account. God looks upon weak saints in the Son of His love--and sees them all lovely. Ah, poor souls! you are apt to look upon your spots and blots, and to cry out with the leper not only "Unclean! unclean!" but "Undone! undone!" Well, forever remember this--that you stand before God in the righteousness of Christ; upon which account you always appear before the throne of God without fault; where you are all lovely, and where there is no flaw in you."They are without fault before the throne of God." Rev. 14:5
