amazing duck tales

part 2;

diabetes and embroyonic stem cells

The other day on tv there was a political ad in which a lady with diabetes is urging you not to vote for a certain politician because they are not pro embroyonic stem cell. I shook my head and declared I have diabetes and i will never condone using embroyonic stem cells to cure my or treat my diabetes.....even if they were not other alternatives:

I told my wife let me like paul and:

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7So to keep me from being too elated by the surpassing greatness of the revelations,[a] a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from being too elated. 8Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. 9But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Let Christ keep me ever true......

needless tragedies

These needless tragedies are just some reasons for a clearer louder proclaiming of the biblical gospel in urban areas and not only hear it but to apply it like the good samaratian not only the spiritual wounds but physical, emotional, economic, societal etc

The Great Dinosaur Mystery

who is michelle bonilla?

The cross has not become obsolete!

The cross has not become obsolete!(Horatius Bonar, "The Surety's Cross")"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing; but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18 The whole world looked with contempt--indignant at the audacity of a few humble Christians, thus affronting and defying the "public opinion" of nations and ages; assailing the religions of earth with the cross as their only sword; striking down their idols with this as their only hammer; and with this, as their one lever, proposing to turn the world upside down!
From that day the cross became "a power" in the earth;a power which went forth, like the light--noiselessly yet irresistibly--smiting down all religions alike, all shrines alike, all altars alike--sparing no superstition nor philosophy. This power remains--in its mystery, its silence, its influence,it remains. The cross has not become obsolete! The preaching of the cross has not ceased to be powerful andeffectual! There are those who would persuade us that, in this modern age--the cross is out of date and out of fashion, time-worn. But this shakes us not. It only leads us to clasp the cross more fervently, and to study it more profoundly, as embodying in itself that gospel which is at once the wisdom and the power of God.Yet the cross is not without its mysteries. It illuminates--yet it darkens. It is life--yet it is death. It is honor--yet it is shame. It is wisdom--but also foolishness. It is . . . both pardon and condemnation; both strength and weakness; both joy and sorrow; both love and hatred; both medicine and poison; both hope and despair. It is Christ's humiliation--yet it is His exaltation! It is Satan's victory--yet it is Satan's defeat! It is the gate of heaven--and the gate of hell! The cross is the key to God's character, His word, His ways, His purposes. It is the summary of all the Bible--the epitome of Revelation!

betty la fe/betty the ugly

A popular tv show around the world is Betty la fea/ Betty the ugly (see link) and contuining the same thought in the we are series--we are betty the ugly. Sin has left us looking like betty the ugly both sins we naurally commit because we are born sinners to sins committed againest us: drugs, free sex, crime, violence: domestic/child abuse, poverty etc But when we embrace Christ as our Lord and savior all the ills we've done and has been done to us Christ transforms us by His blood from ugly betty to prince charmings and cinderellas.

2 corinthians 5;17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come

Isaiah 1:18

18 "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

ephesians 2:13-18

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15by abolishing the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. 18For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.

Thomas Brooks, "The Unsearchable Riches of Christ")"The Lord our righteousness." Jeremiah 23:6"They are without fault before the throne of God." Rev. 14:5Weak hearts are apt to sit down troubled and discouraged, when they look upon that body of sin which is in them, and those imperfections which attend their best services. They are ready to say, "We shall one day perish by the strength of our lusts, or by the defects of our services!" Oh but, to strengthen them against all discouragements, they should remember this--that they stand before God, clothed with the righteousness of their Savior. "They are without fault before the throne of God." Revelation 14:5So in Cant. 4:7, "All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you." There is no flaw in God's account. God looks upon weak saints in the Son of His love--and sees them all lovely. Ah, poor souls! you are apt to look upon your spots and blots, and to cry out with the leper not only "Unclean! unclean!" but "Undone! undone!" Well, forever remember this--that you stand before God in the righteousness of Christ; upon which account you always appear before the throne of God without fault; where you are all lovely, and where there is no flaw in you."They are without fault before the throne of God." Rev. 14:5

we are jonathan jayne and kenneth briggs

This past week American Idol trying to draw publicity, ratings and $$$ crossed the line with undeserved meaness, disrespectful and inhuman harshness. Reflecting upon this i am glad
God does not look at us like american idol--for sin has left us undesirable,in filthy rags so we stand in the same shoes as jonathan jayne and kenneth briggs. And even though Jesus did not wear those shoes and clothes sin has given us-he knows how we feel-our struggles, our burdens.our tears.our broken dreams, our worries and our fears etc. (click on blue letters above)and Because of Him we jonathans and kennys are accepted before God.

1 samuel 16:7:

7 But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart."

hebrews 4:15

For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

romans 5:9

9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him!

Isaiah 61:10

I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

1 corinthians 1:30

30It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

17Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

25He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.

see links:
2For [the Servant of God] grew up before Him like a tender plant, and like a root out of dry ground; He has no form or comeliness [royal, kingly pomp], that we should look at Him, and no beauty that we should desire Him.
3He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.
4Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].(
5But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
6All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all.(
7He was oppressed, [yet when] He was afflicted, He was submissive and opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth.
8By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who among them considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living [stricken to His death] for the transgression of my [Isaiah's] people, to whom the stroke was due?
9And they assigned Him a grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in His death, although He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth.(
10Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick. When You and He make His life an offering for sin [and He has risen from the dead, in time to come], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, and the will and pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11He shall see [the fruit] of the travail of His soul and be satisfied; by His knowledge of Himself [which He possesses and imparts to others] shall My [uncompromisingly] righteous One, My Servant, justify many and make many righteous (upright and in right standing with God), for He shall bear their iniquities and their guilt [with the consequences, says the Lord].
12Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great [kings and rulers], and He shall divide the spoil with the mighty, because He poured out His life unto death, and [He let Himself] be regarded as a criminal and be numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore [and took away] the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors (the rebellious).(

truth vs lies

Roamns 1:16-17

16For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God's power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,
17For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.(A)

The doomsday clock

My thoughts on the doomsday clock in light of biblical prophecywherever you be amil, premil, postmil or panmil(like Me) we all agree from the bible:

1. God is sovereign

2.Christ is Lord of creation.

3.Christ reigns now and evermore

4.Christ is coming

5.the last judgement

6.sin and death no more

7..creation restored

Charles Spurgeon, the London pastor from 100 years ago said,

?I believe that every particle of dust that dances in the sunbeam does not move an atom more or less than God wishes ? that every particle of spray that dashes against the steamboat has its orbit, as well as the sun in the heavens ? that the chaff from the hand of the winnower is steered as the stars in their courses. The creeping of an aphid over the rosebud is as much fixed as the march of the devastating pestilence ? the fall of . . . leaves from a poplar is as fully ordained as the tumbling of an avalanche.?

When Spurgeon was challenged that this is nothing but fatalism and stoicism, he replied,

?What is fate? Fate is this ? Whatever is, must be. But there is a difference between that and Providence. Providence says, Whatever God ordains, must be; but the wisdom of God never ordains anything without a purpose. Everything in this world is working for some great end. Fate does not say that. . . . There is all the difference between fate and Providence that there is between a man with good eyes and a blind man.

jeremiah 10:12-13

12It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens. 13When he utters his voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and he makes the mist rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, and he brings forth the wind from his storehouses.

jeremiah 14:22

22Are there any among the false gods of the nations that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Are you not he, O LORD our God? We set our hope on you, for you do all these things.

daniel 2:20-23

20Daniel answered and said: "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. 21He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings;he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; 22he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. 23To you, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for you have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of you, for you have made known to us the king's matter."

Wii tragedy

Some quick thought on this senseless/mindless/foolish tragedy: (click on blueletters to go to link)

1. The radio station and its employees had the God-given resposibility if not that a moral resposibility to make sure that all its contests, stunts are safe.

luke 10:25
And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" 26He said to him, "What is written in the Law? How do you read it?" 27And he answered, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." 28And he said to him, "You have answered correctly; do this, and you will live."

29But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" 30Jesus replied, "A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead. 31Now by chance a priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side. 32So likewise a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33But a Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion. 34He went to him and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35And the next day he took out two denarii[a] and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, 'Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.' 36Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?" 37He said, "The one who showed him mercy." And Jesus said to him, "You go, and do likewise."

Christian American Idol

Watching american idol lately the way it operates and the mindset it creates, promotes and thrives on-is the same condition the church here in america finds herself in. She searches, promotes ,markets a jesus, salvation, church etc by what the people want and not what God declares in His final authority in all matters: The Bible.
2 timothy 4:3-5 3-5You're going to find that there will be times when people will have no stomach for solid teaching, but will fill up on spiritual junk food—catchy opinions that tickle their fancy. They'll turn their backs on truth and chase mirages. But you—keep your eye on what you're doing; accept the hard times along with the good; keep the Message alive; do a thorough job as God's servant.
1 corinthians 1:11-12
11-12I bring this up because some from Chloe's family brought a most disturbing report to my attention—that you're fighting among yourselves! I'll tell you exactly what I was told: You're all picking sides, going around saying, "I'm on Paul's side," or "I'm for Apollos," or "Peter is my man," or "I'm in the Messiah group."
Romans 1:22-26

22Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

24Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,

25because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

26For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.
galatians 1:8-10
8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
1 samuel 16:7
7 But God told Samuel, "Looks aren't everything. Don't be impressed with his looks and stature. I've already eliminated him. God judges persons differently than humans do. Men and women look at the face; God looks into the heart."
judges 17:6
6 In those days there was no king in Israel. People did whatever they felt like doing.

Where ever a modern day muscian ever had the anoiting of the Holy Spirit upon their life and music surely he is one of them.

MLK 2007

May we remember always the dangers of the social construction of race-its past, present and still future dangers. may the church in the world today be in the forefront in combating with the only weapon God has blessed it with: The Word:

2 corinthians 10:3-6

The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

1 samuel 17:45-46

David answered, "You come at me with sword and spear and battle-ax. I come at you in the name of God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God of Israel's troops, whom you curse and mock. This very day God is handing you over to me. I'm about to kill you, cut off your head, and serve up your body and the bodies of your Philistine buddies to the crows and coyotes. The whole earth will know that there's an extraordinary God in Israel. And everyone gathered here will learn that God doesn't save by means of sword or spear. The battle belongs to God—he's handing you to us on a platter!"

psalms 44:6-8

You're my King, O God— command victories for Jacob! With your help we'll wipe out our enemies, in your name we'll stomp them to dust. I don't trust in weapons; my sword won't save me— But it's you, you who saved us from the enemy; you made those who hate us lose face. All day we parade God's praise— we thank you by name over and over

isaiah 31:3

3Doom to those who go off to Egypt thinking that horses can help them,Impressed by military mathematics, awed by sheer numbers of chariots and riders—And to The Holy of Israel, not even a glance, not so much as a prayer to God.Still, he must be reckoned with, a most wise God who knows what he's doing. He can call down catastrophe. He's a God who does what he says.He intervenes in the work of those who do wrong, stands up against interfering evildoers.Egyptians are mortal, not God, and their horses are flesh, not Spirit. When God gives the signal, helpers and helped alike will fall in a heap and share the same dirt grave.

sunday night fever vs saturday night fever

one does it in its proper place and the other is definetely out of place-which one? you decide. vs

We are called to see that the Church does not adapt its thinking to the horizons that modernity prescribes for it but rather that it brings to those horizons the powerful antidote of God's truth. It is not the Word of God but rather modernity that stands in need of being demythologised.-- David F. Wells

It is not the business of the church to adapt Christ to men, but men to Christ. -- Dorothy Sayers

The Church which is married to the Spirit of the Age will be a widow in the next.

another jesus in my shower/potato chip theology lesson...

Once again in the world of jesus in my shower/potato chip theology someone sees a image of christ in a tree bark--and sadly people flock there now to seek a miracle from and to worship nothing more than a IDOL.( click on blue letters to go to link) I couldnt get the actual picture but a similar event occurred in milwalke so i posted that image.

for jesus in my shower click here:

The Bible has a lot to say about this:6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

Isaisah 59:8
8 The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.

Jeremiah 5:4/10:1-5 Therefore I said, "Surely these are poor, they are foolish; for they know not the way of the LORD, nor the judgment of their God.

1-5 Listen to the Message that God is sending your way, House of Israel. Listen most carefully:
"Don't take the godless nations as your models. Don't be impressed by their glamour and glitz, no matter how much they're impressed. The religion of these peoples is nothing but smoke. An idol is nothing but a tree chopped down, then shaped by a woodsman's ax.They trim it with tinsel and balls, use hammer and nails to keep it upright. It's like a scarecrow in a cabbage patch—can't talk! Dead wood that has to be carried—can't walk!Don't be impressed by such stuff. It's useless for either good or evil."

deuteronomy 4:28 and ye have served there gods, work of man's hands, wood and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

Isaiah 45.20 20Be gathered, and come in, Come nigh together, ye escaped of the nations, They have not known, Who are lifting up the wood of their graven image, And praying unto a god [that] saveth not.

Romans 1:18 -25 18-23But God's angry displeasure erupts as acts of human mistrust and wrongdoing and lying accumulate, as people try to put a shroud over truth. But the basic reality of God is plain enough. Open your eyes and there it is! By taking a long and thoughtful look at what God has created, people have always been able to see what their eyes as such can't see: eternal power, for instance, and the mystery of his divine being. So nobody has a good excuse. What happened was this: People knew God perfectly well, but when they didn't treat him like God, refusing to worship him, they trivialized themselves into silliness and confusion so that there was neither sense nor direction left in their lives. They pretended to know it all, but were illiterate regarding life. They traded the glory of God who holds the whole world in his hands for cheap figurines you can buy at any roadside stand.
24-25So God said, in effect, "If that's what you want, that's what you get." It wasn't long before they were living in a pigpen, smeared with filth, filthy inside and out. And all this because they traded the true God for a fake god, and worshiped the god they made instead of the God who made them—the God we bless, the God who blesses us. Oh, yes!

1 timothy 1:4/4:7 4nor to pay attention to (A)myths and endless (B)genealogies, which give rise to mere (C)speculation rather than (D)furthering the administration of God which is by faith.

7But have nothing to do with (A)worldly (B)fables fit only for old women On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of (C)godliness

2 timothy 4:4 4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned toward fables.

titus 1:14 14[And may show their soundness by] ceasing to give attention to Jewish myths and fables or to rules [laid down] by [mere] men who reject and turn their backs on the Truth.

Isaiah 44:9-12

9 They that fashion a graven image are all of them vanity; and the things that they delight in shall not profit; and their own witnesses see not, nor know: that they may be put to shame.
10 Who hath fashioned a god, or molten an image that is profitable for nothing?
11 Behold, all his fellows shall be put to shame; and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; they shall fear, they shall be put to shame together.
12 The smith maketh an axe, and worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with his strong arm: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth; he drinketh no water, and is faint.

Next time you see a disabled person, elderly person, pregant woman,a young child or anyone--don't turn away or make belive you do not see them-give them a helpng hand for:

1. you will be glorifying, worshipping, pleasing, witnessing for God in that simple act.
Mark 12:31 31 The second is this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
Romans 15
1 Now we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying
james 2: 8-11 You do well when you complete the Royal Rule of the Scriptures: "Love others as you love yourself." But if you play up to these so-called important people, you go against the Rule and stand convicted by it. You can't pick and choose in these things, specializing in keeping one or two things in God's law and ignoring others. The same God who said, "Don't commit adultery," also said, "Don't murder." If you don't commit adultery but go ahead and murder, do you think your non-adultery will cancel out your murder? No, you're a murderer, period.
matthew 25:35-38
35For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you [a]brought Me together with yourselves and welcomed and entertained and [b]lodged Me,
36I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me [c]with help and ministering care, I was in prison and you came to see Me.(A)
37Then the just and upright will answer Him, Lord, when did we see You hungry and gave You food, or thirsty and gave You something to drink?
38And when did we see You a stranger and welcomed and entertained You, or naked and clothed You?
hebrews 13: 16 Make sure you don't take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of "sacrifice"—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets.

2.God's provindence may one day put you in their shoes and you too will need a helping hand.

Ecclesiastes 7:14 In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider that God has made the one side by side with the other, so that man may not find out anything that shall be after him.

james 4:14 Yet you do not know [the least thing] about what may happen tomorrow. What is the nature of your life? You are [really] but a wisp of vapor (a puff of smoke, a mist) that is visible for a little while and then disappears [into thin air].

proverbs 16:33 33The lot is cast into the lap, but the decision is wholly of the Lord [even the events that seem accidental are really ordered by Him].

romans 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)!

P.S. I was that disabled person that somone turned their blind eye while i struggled
my wife was that pregnant lady that no man in the bus or train refused to give up that seat even seeing that bulging belly of motherhood(especially noticeable since my wife is very slim 90 pounds)that only a women gave up their seat on each occasion.
My mother was that elderly person who got robbed in mid afternoon in a crowded ave and nobody helped. BUT THESE EVENTS JUST FURTHER STRENGTHENED ME IN HELPING OTHERS EVEN WITH MY DISABILITY.

Psalm 34:11 (Amplified Bible)11Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you to revere and worshipfully fear the Lord.

11Venid, hijos, escuchadme; os enseñaré el temor del SEÑOR.

Salmos 34:11

Proverbs 8:32 32 “ Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways.

32Ahora pues, hijos, escuchadme, porque bienaventurados son los que guardan mis caminos.

Psalms 127:3-5

3-5 Don't you see that children are God's best gift? the fruit of the womb his generous legacy? Like a warrior's fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children! Your enemies don't stand a chance against you; you'll sweep them right off your doorstep.

NEW YEAR @2007

The year before our eyes(J. C. Philpot)"As your days--so shall your strength be." Deuteronomy 33:25The year before our eyes may hold in its bosom events which may deeply concern and affect us.We do not know what is to come. What personal trials, what family trials, what providential trials may await us--we do not know. Sickness may attack our bodies, death enter our families, difficulties beset our circumstances, trials and temptations exercise our minds, snares entangle our feet, and many dark and gloomy clouds, make our path one of heaviness and sorrow. Every year hitherto has brought its trials in its train; and how can we expect the coming year to be exempt? If, indeed, we are His, whatever our trials may be, His grace will be sufficient for us.He who has delivered, can and will deliver. And He who has brought us thus far on the road, who has so borne with our crooked manners in the wilderness and never yet forsaken us--though we have so often forsaken Him--will still lead us along; will still guide and guard us, and be our God, our Father and our Friend--not only to the end of the next year, if spared to see it, but the end of our life.Blessed with His presence, we need fear no evil; favored with His smile, we need dread no foe;upheld by His power, we need shrink from no trial; strengthened by His grace, we need panic at no suffering.Knowing what we are and have been when left to ourselves--the slips that we have made, the snares that we have been entangled in, the shame and sorrow that we have procured to ourselves--well may we dread to go forth in the coming year alone. Well may we say, "If Your Presence does not go with us--do not send us up from here!" Exodus 33:15
