spiderman 3

Spiderman 3 the latest movie in this franchise came out this friday and i saw it with my family. Overall i enjoyed it but kids may get fidgity in their seats during the ping pong periods of dialogue befores it flows again into the action sequences. Their were several biblical themes it touched upon-i think most likely not a reflection of the directors or creators faith but God's witness to us fallen man in our hearts, minds and nature:

1The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above[a] proclaims his handiwork. 2Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. 3There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard. 4Their measuring line[b] goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun, 5which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy. 6Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat psalms 19:1-6
1O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. 2Out of the mouth of babes and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.

3When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, psalms 8:1-3

6The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory. psalms 97:6

24"Remember to extol his work, of which men have sung. 25All mankind has looked on it; man beholds it from afar. job 36:24-25

20For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defense or justification],(A) romans 1:20

14When Gentiles who have not the [divine] Law do instinctively what the Law requires, they are a law to themselves, since they do not have the Law.
15They show that the essential requirements of the Law are written in their hearts and are operating there, with which their consciences (sense of right and wrong) also bear witness; and their [moral] [a]decisions (their arguments of reason, their condemning or approving [b]thoughts) will accuse or perhaps defend and excuse [them]
16On that day when, as my Gospel proclaims, God by Jesus Christ will judge men in regard to [c]the things which they conceal (their hidden thoughts).(A) romans 2:14-16

14Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, 15but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. 1 cor 11:14-15
